Senior Engineer
I fix broken software. And I'm really good at it.
I'm István. I'm the person companies call when their test suite takes 17 hours to run, their mobile app crashes on launch, or their AI integration is outputting gibberish.
Born in Budapest, now based in Saarbrücken. I combine Hungarian creativity with the precision and reliability that clients in the DACH region expect. I communicate clearly in English (C1) and Hungarian (native). I also speak professional German (B1, actively working towards B2). I understand technical documentation and day-to-day conversations, but for complex project discussions, we'll work best in English.
Why clients hire me
I reduce costs, not just write code.
When a client's test suite was taking 17 hours to run, I fixed 1,000+ failing tests and cut execution time to 8 hours. That's not just engineering, that's saving thousands in DevOps costs and enabling daily deployments.
I build things that actually work in production.
From AI-powered recommendation systems to cross-platform mobile apps, I don't stop at "it works on my machine." I deliver reliable, scalable solutions that handle real users, real data, and real-world edge cases.
I'm EU-based. Data protection isn't an afterthought.
GDPR compliance, German hosting, and SSL encryption are built into everything I do. Your data stays in Europe, no surprises, no compromises.
My philosophy: Technology should be boring
If it works perfectly, nobody notices. My job is to make the complex invisible, so you can focus on your business.
Practical Solutions Over PerfectionI don't chase unnecessary complexity. I use tools that work reliably in your specific environment.
Continuous ImprovementEvery project is an opportunity to refine and optimise, whether it's streamlining test automation or simplifying a clunky workflow.
Clear CommunicationRegular updates, no jargon, no surprises. You know exactly what's happening at every stage.
Technology in Service of PeopleEvery system exists to help users. I build with human factors front and centre: intuitive interfaces and maintainable architectures.
